Bryson Eiler Ms. Lehmann English 1-3 25 October 2018 What Role will Robots Play in our Future? What Role will robots play in our future? This question could have several different answers all of which lead to a completely different outcome. The answer that I have come to is that robots will eventually do everything in the job market. Robots already do most jobs anyways so it’s only a matter of time until robots also do the few that remain. As technology advances more and more technology is created to fill in human purposes such as working. In the end, I am convinced that robots will eventually take over all of the basic and even most of the advanced jobs. Sometime in the near future our technology will have advanced to the point where robots have taken on all the roles of work. Machines already have a large impact on what we can accomplish. If this should continue to advance than almost every person that doesn’t program the machines will have such a little impact on society that they will altogether become unnoticed. Just think about how dependent we are on machines today, we use them to communicate, to accomplish menial tasks, and most importantly we use them constantly. If people begin to expand on just these three factors alone than machines might be more important than people. What be the purpose of people if a more efficient and replaceable fixture should come into place instead of people? Yes a few people would be used to program these machines but as I previously mentioned this would probably end up being the only human operated job in the future. I believe that if machines and technology should continue to progress at their current rate there will ultimately be no purpose for humans eventually. Even now robots have been programmed to do basic tasks all around the world in every country, town, city, and household. Think about even the simplest tasks like dish washing, writing, and even manual labor, have all been simplified with a machine in one way or another. Dish washing is simplified with a dishwasher, writing with a computer, and manual labor is now done with large excavation equipment. These are just a few basic examples of how machines are slowly taking over the working environment. Overall robots are even now taking over basic jobs around the world. In the end I am convinced that robots will eventually overthrow humans. They are a more accessible and reusable solution to work as they do not tire being a wiser decision than human employees. Also they can be repeatedly used for large projects such as excavation. At this current rate they will be a more effective way to work. Robots are a more efficient worker and eventually will overthrow the human employees.
